COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson head track and field coach Jamaine Gordon announced on Monday that nine student-athletes would be joining Lindsey Wilson for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

Joining Lindsey Wilson on the men's side is Dondre Mimms, Cameron Murphy, Trevor Shearer, Josh Willis, Clay Priddy and JeRon Thornton.

Mimms comes to Lindsey Wilson from Apollo High School in Owensboro, Ky., where he was a 2014 track and field state qualifier. He finished runner-up at the state championships in the 200 meters with a time of 21.61 and took fourth in the 100 meters with a time of 10.94. He had previously won the 100, 200 and 400 meters at the regional track and field meet. Mimms holds career-best times of 10.82 (100m), 21.61 (200m) and 50.32 (400m).

Murphy hails from Western Hills High School in Frankfort, Ky., where he was a four-time state qualifier in track and field. In 2014, he was a state champion in the 300 meter hurdles event with a career-best time of 38.49, and finished runner-up in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.01. Murphy is also a five-time regional event winner, twice in the 110 meter hurdles and three times in the 300 meter hurdles. He holds a career-best time of 14.84 in the 110 hurdles.

Shearer comes to Lindsey Wilson from Wayne County High School in Monticello, Ky. He was a four-time cross country state qualifier and two-time Foot Locker South Regional Participant. His cross country team won two regional championships and in 2012, Shearer won the regional individual championship. He finished in the top 15 his sophomore season at the state championships and holds a career-best time of 16:24.70 in the 5,000 meter cross county event.

Both Willis and Priddy come from Grayson County High School in Leitchfield, Ky. Willis is a two-time track and field state qualifier while Priddy is a three-time cross country state qualifier. Willis holds a career-best height of 13 feet in the pole vault event while Priddy has a career-best time of 16:46.40 in the 5,000 meter cross country event.

Thornton joins Lindsey Wilson from Green County High School in Greensburg, Ky. He is expected to make an immediate impact in the sprinting events and on the relay teams.

On the women's side, Catherine Bloomfield, Maryssa Stewart and Kassidi Taylor join the Blue Raiders next season.

Bloomfield is a three-time track and field state qualifier from Bryan Station High School in Lexington, Ky. She helped Bryan Station win their first ever Class AAA State Track and Field team title. She won the 100 meter hurdles event at regionals before finishing third at the state championships in the event with a time of 15.02. She holds career times of 14.37 (100m) and 47.83 (300m).

Stewart hails from Madison Central High School in Richmond, Ky., where she was a four-time state qualifier in track and field. She won a state championship in the triple jump event with a distance of 35-7.50 feet in 2014. She had previously finished in third (2013) and second (2012) place at the state championships in triple jump. Stewart won the regional championship in the triple jump for the third time in her career in 2014 and also won the regional long jump event.

Taylor comes to Lindsey Wilson from Adair County High School in Columbia, Ky. She holds a career-best height of nine feet in the pole vault event and took home a sixth-place finish at the state championships in 2014.
