Bowling Green's Sarah-Emily Woodward Commits to Austin Peay

Bowling Green High School senior Sarah-Emily Woodward has committed to run at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Woodward is coming off her best finish of her career at the Kentucky State Cross Country Championship in November.  She finished 19th overall in Class AAA to help lead her team to a State Team Runner-Up Trophy.  This past fall her fastest time was 19:15 where she finished 3rd.

Last spring she was 7th overall in the 1600m Run at the Class AAA Kentucky State Track Meet.

On why she chose Austin Peay:

"It was a hard decision. Every school I visited had something I really liked. I had narrowed it down to Murray and Southern Indiana.  Then I visited Austin Peay and knew it was the one for me. I like the coach, the team dynamic and the campus is really nice. In the end, all the pieces fell in place and I knew it was the one."
