Senior Send-Off: Michael Price, Central Hardin

 

 

Michael Price is a 2013 Central Hardin graduate.  He was 12th overall in the 1600m at the Class AAA State Track Meet in May.

What was your most memorable race/event?  

MP: My most memorable race was probably at our conference meet, due to the big PR that came with it. 

 

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years? 

MP: Over my four years, my biggest competition has been my twin brother Josh. We push each other to be better, and it's essentially a very poor man's Mo and Galen.

 

What was your greatest accomplishment? 

MP: My greatest accomplishment was qualifying for state in the 1600.

 

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

MP: If I could start over, I'd definitely work harder those first three years.

 

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

MP: We went through 3 coaches in 4 years.

 

What will you miss the most?

MP: I'll miss my teammates more than anything else.

 

What advice you would give to younger athletes?

MP: Don't be scared to go for it.

 

What influence has your coaches had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

MP: My second coach, Coach Boozer, has influenced everything I do. He was the coach that really taught me to work hard and the mental toughness aspect of the sport.

 

What are your plans for college or joining the workforce next year?

MP: I will be attending the University of Louisville.
