1) What event did you win?

BQ: I was a part of the AA State Champion 4x800 team

2) What kind of strategy did you have going into your event?

BQ: We tried to lead wire to wire, and if we handed off to our anchor in fist we knew we would win.

3) If this was your first state championship, what kind of emotions and thoughts did you have immediately after winning?  If this was another state championship for you joining others, how does this one compare to the prior one?

BQ:  The first thing that came to my mind was "finally". After years of hard work it all paid off in my last season!

4) Did you do anything different when it came to your training this season?

BQ: This year I mainly focused on more speed work outs. A lot of 400's and 200's in practice and knowing that we could win a title made me work that much harder!

5) Besides winning state, what was another highlight of your season?

BQ: Another highlight was being the top male scorer in my regional meet with 28.5 points total. Winning the 800 and 4x800 and getting second in the 1600 and 3200.
