Who is "Going for the Win" and in the "Team Hunt "?
From my experiences of racing in the last 5 years or so, it seems like the Horse Park and cold/windy/rainy weather usually goes hand in hand.

Official Class AA Boys Pre-Season Team XC Rankings
This region has changed significantly over the past ten years with the movement of Owensboro Catholic to Class A, the split of Greenwood, and the emergence of current #4-ranked Edmonson County.
Detailed Class AA Snapshot Breakdown
A look at the movers and shakers of Week 4. Also a look at the top teams in each class from the most recent rankings.
The first full week of cross country is in the bag for the state of Kentucky and it was a pretty solid start.

In the recent KYtrackXC.com Pre-Season Class AA State Rankings, Edmonson County was ranked #1 with defending champion, North Oldham sitting at #2. Both of these teams could make an early argument that they are #1, but the early edge goes to the Edmonson County. Lexington Catholic looks to be just a piece away from being right there with Edmonson and North Oldham.
KYtrackXC.com is pleased to present the first set of Kentucky State Cross Country Rankings for the 2011 Season. These are not based on any automated time order. Instead they are taken from looking at various races from last season, especially the Kentucky State Cross Country Meet. With the loss of the Franklin County Invitational and the Lexington Catholic Invitational last year, there were less common races to try and compare the teams from different areas of the state. This left many of these teams only racing each other once at the Kentucky State Cross Country Meet. These team rankings along with individual athlete class rankings will be released every two weeks starting September 6, 2011.

Melissa Hurd (Paul Dunbar) and Candace Barbee (Edmonson County) have both agreed to run next season at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
