Jefferson County Public Schools would like to invite any middle school to participate in a series of open
track meets at Fairdale High School. Entry fee is $25 for girls team, $25 for boys team for each meet.

Events will be scored by separate grades (6th, 7th, 8th) even though athletes may run together.

Fairdale High (Open)
All rosters may be done on Hytek Team Manager or Team Manager Lite. No additions will be allowed at the meet, and no one is to use another athletes number. Email Hytek rosters to fmiklavcic@aol.com by Friday of the week before the meet. Athlete competitor numbers will be emailed the day before the meet. Athletes will be allowed admission to the park in uniform with their competitor number on their right hand.
Order of events each day will be:
100 meter hurdles, 100, 1600, 4x100 relay, 400, 800, 200, 4x400 relay, long jump & shot-put
Shot Put and long jump will start at 4:00
We will not use starting blocks.
Maximum of four events per athlete.
Enter as many as you want in each event.
You can enter multiple relays also.
Competitor numbers will be recorded at the start of the 100 hurdles, 100, and 400 and 200
All non-lane races will be recorded cross country style at the finish line. If athletes do not stay in line and get their number recorded, they will be disqualified.
Depending on the number of entries in the 400, we may run a few heats in lanes, and the remainder on a waterfall start like the 800.
4x400 relay will use a two turn stagger and the #2 runner may break in on the first exchange as soon as they can do so without interfering.
Only the north entrance (by the elementary school) will be used for admission and athletes. This is the gate near the start of the 100.
Turn right off National Turnpike on to Fairdale Rd. Go the street just past the parking lot in front of the high school. Turn right on that street. Drive past the school and football field to the parking lot at the elementary school.
Concessions through the FAIRDALE HIGH SCHOOL will be available.
NO ONE IS TO WALK OR RUN ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD. ANYONE DOING
SO WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE MEET AND ESCORTED OUTSIDE THE STADIUM.
Long jump3 jumps only, open pit for one hour:
There will be a tape measure next to the long jump runways so that athletes can have their
marks already set.
Shot put3 throws
Ticket Prices:
$3.00 for adults
$2.00 for Students (12 & under)
Preschool - Free
Absolutely no coaches on the track or infield. Everyone must remain in the stands if they are not competing in a specific event. The only exception will be those coaches who are officiating.
Teams - Please clean up your area of the bleachers.
