MEET: Woodford County Invitational (WCI)

DATE: October 6th, 2018

FEE:

$35 per high school Varsity team (boys and girls separate), $20 per Reserve Team (boys and girls separate), $35 per Middle School team grades 8 and under (boys and girls separate), $30 per elementary team grades 6 and under (boys and girls separate), $30 per elementary team grades 4 and under (boys and girls separate), $30 per elementary team grades 2 and under (boys and girls separate), $5 per individual. Team Special of maximum $150.

To compete in this event athletes must race with the school team they attend (per KHSAA guidelines). Clubs are allowed, but will be scored separately with separate team awards. Clubs must inform Brooke Stickel of their attendance a month in advance so team trophies can be ordered for specific races. *Due to low entries this year, we will not be separating clubs and schools.* There will be a maximum of 20 runners per team; multiple teams may be entered per school with payment of a second team. High School Reserve has unlimited entries.

AWARDS:

Varsity races: 1-3 team trophies (boys and girls), top runner receives a trophy, finishers 2-15 will receive medals, 16-50 will receive ribbons.

Reserve races: No team trophy, Finishers 1-10 receive medals, 11-25 will receive ribbons.

Middle School races grades 8 and under: 1-3 team trophies (boys and girls), top runner receives a trophy, finishers 2-15 will receive medals, 16-50 will receive ribbons.

Elementary races grades 6 and under: 1-3 team trophy (boys and girls), top runner receives a trophy, 2-15 place finishers receive a medal; 16-50 will receive ribbons.

Elementary races grades 4 and under: 1-3 team trophy (boys and girls), top runner receives a trophy, 2-15 place finishers receive a medal; 16-50 will receive ribbons.

Elementary races grades 2 and under: 1-3 team trophy (boys and girls), top runner receives a trophy, 2-15 place finishers receive a medal; 16-50 will receive ribbons.

Awards Presentations: Individual Awards will be handed out in the chute, team trophies will be handed out upon receiving results.

10:00 AM- Girls Elementary (2nd grade and below, 20 max per team)

10:25 AM- Boys Elementary (2nd grade and below, 20 max per team)

10:50 AM- Girls Elementary (4th grade and below, 20 max per team)

11:15 AM- Boys Elementary (4th grade and below, 20 max per team)

11:40 AM- Girls Elementary (6th grade and below, 20 max per team)

12:10 AM- Boys Elementary (6th grade and below, 20 max per team)

12:40 PM- Girls Middle School (8th grade and below, 20 max per team)

1:15 PM- Boys Middle School (8th grade and below, 20 max per team)

1:50 PM- Girls High School Varsity (7 entries per team)

2:25 PM- Boys High School Varsity (7 entries per team)

3:00 PM- Girls High School Reserve (unlimited entries)

3:40 PM- Boys High School Reserve (unlimited entries)

DISTANCE:

Elementary Grades 2 and under- 2K

Elementary Grades 4 and under- 2K

Elementary Grades 6 and under- 3K

Middle school- 4K

Varsity and Reserve- 5K

TEAM LIMITS: A limit of 7 runners in varsity, unlimited entries in every other race. You may only enter Reserve runners if you enter a Varsity team. You may enter more than one Varsity team with price paid, but box limitations may apply. Only one race per runner.

MEETING: There will not be an official coaches meeting. If you have any questions, please see the meet official or the meet director, Brooke Stickel, located at the Start/Finish Line area.

UNIFORM: For varsity the KHSAA uniform rule will be enforced (if there is cold weather, clothes worn under uniform may be allowed). For middle school and elementary runners it is a little more relaxed, but try to have uniforms as similar as possible.

Concessions: A full complement of concessions will be available at the meet.

T-Shirts will be on sale while supplies last.

***Please keep runners and spectators away from the railroad tracks (Bluegrass Railroad Museum)***

We invite all spectators to watch the races at various areas along and near the course..however, please remind your parents/fans and other non-competing athletes to be aware of their presence while cheering the runners and not to impede any runner from any team. Only runners and coaches will be permitted at the start line area, parents and spectators must remain behind the finish line area for the start and finish of each race.
