Important Dates
Entries open: Wednesday, February 1 at 9:00am
Entry deadline: Saturday, April 15 at 6:00pm
Once the entry deadline is passed, we will provide a preliminary performance list. Coaches should inspect this list asap and report any scratches by the declaration deadline below. No entries will be accepted after the entry deadline as we will be seeding the events.
Declaration deadline: Monday, April 17 at 6:00pm
Note: we are asking coaches to report all Junior and Senior division race scratches prior to the declaration deadline. We do not need open race scratches, as the open races will be seeded at the meet. Any race day scratches should only involve athletes who were injured or sick on race day. Large numbers of race day scratches make meet administration much more difficult, and so coaches with large numbers of race day scratches risk having limits placed on future entries.

Entry process
1. Entry submission will be through Milesplit.
2. Coaches should enter athletes in the 800 or 1600. Note that athletes can be entered in one event (only), not multiple events. The top Junior and Senior division athletes with grades levels listed will be seeded into the fast section of these events. If an athlete does not have a grade level listed, then that athlete will be entered in the open 800 or 1600 regardless of their seed time.
** Entry requests. All communication regarding this meet must be via email. We will not discuss entries or answer questions over the phone or via text message. Given the expected volume of entries, we also cannot take event requests from coaches other than to scratch athletes who will not compete in a specific event.
3. Entries may close prior to the entry deadline if the meet (or an event) reaches capacity.

Seeding
Prior to the meet, athletes will be seeded into events on the basis of their personal best in that event. If it becomes necessary to choose between one or more similar competitors, the preference will be given to athletes with better season best performances. We will do our best to reseed races where there are scratches, but we ask that coaches not request a reseed so that we can focus on running the meet.

** Senior (7th-8th grade) Division races will include the top 16-18 7th and 8th grade performers entered into the 800 and 1600, all based on verifiable personal bests for the event in which they are being entered. Athletes with no personal best performances in an event will be entered as NT, and will compete in the open division for that race distance. Athletes with no grade level listed will not be seeded into a Senior Division race, regardless of their personal best in that event.

** Junior (5th-6th grade) Division races will include the top 16-18 5th and 6th grade performers entered into the 800 and 1600, all based on verifiable personal bests for the event in which they are being entered. Athletes with no personal best performances in an event will be entered as NT, and will compete in the open division for that race distance. Athletes with no grade level listed will not be seeded into a Junior Division race, regardless of their personal best in that event.

** Open races include athletes who are not seeded into a Junior or Senior division race, and who meet any existing performance standards (see below).

Performance standards for the Open races:
** Girls Open 800: no performance standard
** Girls Open 1600: only entries with a verifiable personal best of 7:30 or faster may compete in the open 1600. Please do not enter athletes into the open 1600 who have not met the performance standard. Girls not meeting that standard will be moved into the open 800, but only as space allows. If the open 800 is full (no room available for additional entries), then those athletes will not be able to compete.

** Boys Open 800: no performance standard
** Boys Open 1600: only entries with a verifiable personal best of 6:00 or faster may compete in the open 1600. Please do not enter athletes into the open 1600 who have not met the performance standard. Boys not meeting that standard will be moved into the open 800, but only as space allows. If the open 800 is full (no room available for additional entries), then those athletes will not be able to compete.

Communication. All communication regarding this meet will be conducted (only) via email. Coaches are strongly advised to check their email regularly in the days leading up to the meet so that they are aware of any announcements regarding the meet.
