The Hite Invitational is the premiere event for your elementary school athletes to compete against other runners at their own grade level. We offer graded races and generous awards to encourage these young runners to fall in love with the sport of cross-country. We also offer a middle school race for those runners in grades 6-8. Our three course lengths all offer treks through woods, a challenging climb and more!

5:00 PM Middle School boys and girls(6,7,8) - 3000 m
5:30 PM First grade boys and girls - 800 m
5:50 PM Second grade boys and girls - 800 m
6:10 PM Third grade boys and girls - 1100 m
6:40 PM Fourth grade boys and girls - 3000 m
7:10 PM Fifth grade boys and girls - 3000 m
Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 boy and top 3 girl finishers in each race. Medals will be awarded for places 4 50 in the elementary races and 4 - 25 in the middle school race. Due to the graded races, team trophies will not be awarded.
Entry fee is $3.00 per registered runner due before September 9. Checks should be made payable to Hite Elementary. Enter online at KYTrackXC. Due to space, this meet is capped at 850 runners, so please enter only those runners you are bringing to the meet. There are no refunds for non-participating runners. Registration closes on the earlier of attaining meet capacity or September 9.
Please be on site at least 30 minutes prior to your race. Scheduled times are approximate. Races will be run on a rolling schedule beginning at 5:00. Accessible parking is located at Hite. General parking is on the Eastern High School grounds. Teams should not arrive prior to 4:00 p.m. due to school dismissal. No meet traffic will be admitted on Hite School Road until dismissal traffic has cleared. Parking attendants will be on site to direct traffic. Please encourage as much carpooling as possible to help ease congestion on Old Shelbyville Road.
There will be a concession stand available.
