They moved from 10th to 8th. One of those spots seems to be the pre-season 4th-place team, who looks to have dropped completely out of the rankings. I'm guessing the other movements are from teams racing each other and moving things around.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth (where DID that saying come from) and congrats but how do you move up when the Varsity squad hasn't run yet?

My thinking exactly! Maybe the only way anyone will ever beat Manlius is get ranked in the pre-season, and then never run a single race all year as you watch your team rise up through the rankings each week, haha.

The saying comes from the old days when horses were in common use. You can check the age and condition of a horse by looking in their mouth. If someone were to give you a horse (a very valuable thing in those days), you would not open the horses mouth to check the age or condition, you would just be thankful for the gift.

Even today the first thing most vets will do is to look in the horse's mouth when they meet a new horse they have not worked on before.

Lets just hope we don't see Barry looking in the mouth of the milesplit rankings guys!
