Yes, cross country and track and two completely different sports with completely different sets of factors. However, data is fun to manipulate and prognosticate what COULD happen based on the work put in during the spring season. So, I put the power of the database to work to see which teams have the best chances to take home a cross country team championship based on their times from this past outdoor season. I did two different sets of data: 3200m and 1600m times. Furthermore, I have ranked the top returning runners based on their combined 3200m time and 1600m time. This ONLY accounts for athletes that had both of those marks.
