Former Oldham County and Eastern Kentucky University Sprinter Dallas Robinson finished 9th last weekend at the FIBT World Bobsled Championships in Lake Placid, New York. Robinson and his driver, Nick Cunningham were third amongst the Americans duos competing in the World Championships. KYtrackXC.com had Dallas answer some questions about his experience this past weekend in Lake Placid. He will compete in the 4 Man Bobsled this coming weekend in Lake Placid as well.
MOUNT WASHINGTON - Dedication to one sport paid off in a big way on Wednesday when Bullitt East senior Trevor Troutman signed to continue his track and field career with the University of Louisville. Troutman is coming off a junior track season in which he won the Class AA State Championship in the discus. His throw of 164-11, which came on his last throw (as a sophomore he finished second, losing on the last throw) was the best discus throw in any of the three classes. (via www.pioneernews.net)

University of Memphis sophomores Darius Lynwood and Cyarra Wells were named Conference USA Male and Female Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. This is the first time this season that two athletes from the same school have swept the weekly C-USA honor. (via MileSplitU)

Amashi Kendall earned her first career league title, winning the weight throw competition to lead the University of Louisville track and field teams on day one of the BIG EAST Indoor Championships at the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory in New York City on Saturday evening.
KYtrackXC.com's Nolan Jez and Tyler Karnes will be live on-site tomorrow for the UK High School Invitational tomorrow.

For the second-straight week, University of Louisville women's track and field student-athlete Amashi Kendall was named the BIG EAST Female Field Athlete of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday.

2011 Mr. Track Ronnie Baker has signed to compete at Texas Christian University next year. The Ballard High School senior was the Kentucky State Class AAA Champion in the 100m and 400m Dashes last May.
Seniors Cidnei Johnson and Kaysee O'Bannon of Ballard High School in Louisville signed yesterday to compete Bellarmine University in Louisville.
