UPDATE 2-3-09 Thanks for all the emails, it was pretty crazy last week.  I am still out of my home, but I have landed on solid ground.  I will continue to get the site updated and should check my email at least once a day.  Pictures of the ice from my yard last week -Jonathan

In an effort to honor the top track and field performers from Kentucky, KYtrackXC.com will have a weekly set of Athletes of the Week.  There will be Middle School, High School, and College awardees.  Former Kentucky High School Track and Field athletes currently running in college are eligible for the College award, even if he or she attends a school out-of-state.

Gatorade has released their Cross Country Runners of the Year for 2008.

With a very exciting cross-country season now well behind us, it is time for us to turn our attention fully to the upcoming indoor and outdoor track seasons. We have had several meets already, but the first meet of note in Kentucky will be this weekend at the University of Kentucky’s Nutter Fieldhouse.

Let Track Season Begin!!!! With the opening weekend of team action for Track Season now past us, lets recap how the weekend went. 

Ariel Lyles, senior at Bowling Green High School has committed to Lindsey Wilson College.

Heat Sheets for the Kentucky Invitational being held at Nutter Fieldhouse in Lexington Saturday.

Chelsea Brown, senior at Butler High School in Louisville has committed to the University of Louisville.  Brown has won 10 Kentucky State Class AAA Track Titles in the 100m, 200m, 300 Hurdles, and 400m Dashes. 

In closing 2008 and looking forward to 2009, KYtrackXC.com presents the Top 10 Performances of 2008. These are based on the performances of Kentucky High School athletes only, during the traditional high school seasons and beyond.
