The Kentucky Class AAA State Champion Daviess County Panthers have spent most of the season ranked somewhere in the NXN Southeast Top 10 currently ranked 4th with St. Xavier and Trinity usually listed as teams to watch. Well, tomorrow all three and Lexington Christian Academy are going to get a chance to prove themselves when they compete against 18 other schools/clubs in the NXN Southeast Regional.
2008 KTCCCA All-State Teams

Below is the list of the Kentucky entries for the Foot Locker South Regional to be held this Saturday in North Carolina.
Madison Hale (Daviess County) and Brianne Porter (Muhlenberg South) both have agreed to sign with Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green to run Cross Country and Track.
Melissa Hurd (Paul Dunbar) and Candace Barbee (Edmonson County) have both agreed to run next season at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
We present the All-Regional runners for each region of Class 3A. All-Regional status is determined by a runner’s top 10 finish in their respective Regional Meet. The top finisher in each Region is designated as the Runner of the Year for that Region, and the highest finishing Freshman or Sophomore in each region is designated as that region’s Frosh-Soph Runner of the Year. (Hillary Raidt, Assumption finishes in front of Annie Barry, Oldham County)
We present the All-Regional runners for each region of Class 2A. All-Regional status is determined by a runner’s top 10 finish in their respective Regional Meet. What a day, cold wind, a little sleet what else can you ask for? Even with the crazy weather the 2008 Kentucky State Cross Country Meet turned out pretty well. A course did not slow down the times and just helped make the 5,000 Meter Run a little more interesting for the runners. (Class A State Champion James Maglasang crossing the line to win)

Each week here at MileSplit we will be giving you a quick look at four of the nation's best runners. Featured this week are Matthew Sonnenfeldt (TN), Becca Addison (MI), Jimmy Tarsnane (PA) and Jessica Tonn (AZ).

A couple of former Kentucky High School runners moved to North Carolina over the summer. Former Scott runner Blake Askin moved to Broughton High School in Raleigh. Former Scott County runner Emily Wirzba moved to Orange High School in Hillsborough. They both competed in the North Carolina State Cross Country Meet on Saturday.
