The long wait is over…cross country is here! Teams began practicing last week in preparation for the first races in late August. KYtrackXC.com has been busy preparing interviews and articles to start the season with style.
Both the AAU National Junior Olympics and USATF National Junior Olympics being held this week in TN (AAU) and CA (USATF) and will be broadcast live via webcasts throughout the week.

Evan Crowdus (Union County) continues his summer of traveling as he wins the Youth Boys 3000m Racewalk title at the USATF Youth Nationals. He has already won two national titles in the Racewalk at the past two Nike Outdoor Nationals.
Chrys Jones won the Triple Jump at the 2007 Carribean Scholastic Invitational in Puerto Rico.
Brian Long (St. Xavier) and Mary Grace Pellegrini (duPont Manual) were named the 2007 Kentucky Gatorade Track & Field Athletes of the Year.
