The Rowe brothers (Matt & Mark) in Owensboro started a running 5K series this winter called the Frigid XC Series. The events are being held at Yellow Creek Park with two of the three already being completed. These are not your typical 5K's, they are being held inside the park with obstacles in the way. Hay Bales and Log Jumps just to name a couple.

The 1st (12/15) and 2nd races (12/29) were both won by the same runners. The Men's races have been won by former Madisonville North Hopkins and Austin Peay State runner Tim Hall. The Women's races have been bested by Daviess County senior Claire Payne.
