Who manages KYtrackXC.com?

My name is Jonathan Grooms. I am a former XC/track athlete at DeSales High School in Louisville.  I am a full-time high school teacher and have previously coached both XC and track.  I live in far western Kentucky with my wife, Daisy, and three children, Aiden, Emma, and Levi.  I can be reached via email at jonathan@kytrackxc.com or kytrackxc@gmail.com.

Where do the times come from?

All results that are released to KYtrackXC.com in a useable format are placed onto the site and the times are pulled from those results.   This is a multi-step process that does not automatically happen.

Can I add and/or change information on my profile or my child's?

Yes, you most certainly can.  On the athlete page in the top right hand corner find CLAIM THIS ATHLETE.  Click on this link and identify who you are to the athlete.  After approval is granted (typically less than 24 hours), you can add a picture, athletic honors, and even times if needed.  A free username is required. My child's name is spelled wrong or the grade is wrong. Can I fix this?

Follow the steps to claim your athlete page and spelling errors and/or athlete years can be fixed.

I noticed some schools have logos and their schedules added, but my school does not. Why?

Users who are connected to a team have the ability to CLAIM THIS TEAM under the team name.  After you are approved, you can modify the roster, add the meet schedule, post team news, change information for meets your squad is hosting, and even add a team logo.  This really helps the look of the team page and helps parents and/or athletes keep up with what is happening.

My child has moved from middle school to high school and now has two profiles?

Just send me an email at jonathan@kytrackxc.com or kytrackxc@gmail.com to let me know.  I can merge the profiles together.  If your child is still in middle school and has two pages, this may be intentional for tracking statistics properly.

There are parts of the site that are blocked only to subscribers. Why?

KYtrackXC.com's mission is to provide the most up-to-date information for the athletes of Kentucky. In order to do this, Jonathan spends a great deal of time inputting data, writing articles, and researching teams and athletes. Additionally, the he utilizes people throughout the state, including coaches, athletes, and fans, who help in various aspects of coverage, such as taking pictures and writing meet recaps. Other costs include travel and equipment.  The funds from subscriptions ($36 annually) help defer these costs.

A subscription can be acquired at https://ky.milesplit.com/subscribe.  All support is greatly appreciated.
