KENOSHA, Wisc.--The Bellarmine University men's and women's track teams both finished in third place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships held Friday and Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Individual winners for the Knights included
William Saucer in the 55 meters and
Bryan Gennett in the pole vault. Bellarmine also had the winning women's 4x200 meters relay team (
Rachel Eyckmans,
Katherine Mastronicola,
Meghan Jones, and
Elaine Kuntz).
Other top performances for the Bellarmine women's team included runner-up finishes by
Meghan Jones in the high jump, the distance medley relay team (
Carissa Martin,
Angela Musk,
Molly Culbertson and
Kristin Hamrick) and the 4x400 meters relay team (
Madison Roark, Jones, Hamrick and Culbertson).
On men's side,
Ben Kolb finished second in the heptathalon and both the 4x200 (Saucer,
Sean Klosterman,
Juan Garrett and
Damar Williams) and the 4x400 (
Zachary Pittman,
Joseph Kiefer,
Nathan McKinney, and Klosterman) relay teams finished as runners-up.
By virtue of their top two finishes, all of the above athletes will earn All-GLVC honors.
