LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Bellarmine University women's cross country team is starting to peak at the right time as they come in at No. 14 in this week's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll.

The ranking comes on the heels of the previously unranked team's first place finish in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship over the weekend, the first in the program's history. The Knights were led by their four all conference performers in Carissa Martin, Meghan Shagena, Angela Musk, and Kelsey Love.

The ranking is also the highest in the program's history and is a positive sign as the team gears up for the end of the season. The Knights will run next in the Great Lakes Regional's at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park on Nov. 20. The top three teams from the region will advance to the NCAA championship held at Tom Sawyer Park on Dec. 4.
