Steve "Vito" Spadafino is a very busy man. He is a vice prinicpal, athletic director, physical education coordinator, and a cross-country and track and field coach. Even with all that on his plate, he has had time to do several notable things within our sport. He was the coach of multiple Class A record-holder Sharika Smith, he is an area representative for the KTCCCA, and he is a member of the KHSAA Advisory Committee for Track and Field/Cross-Country. He took some time out of his busy schedule to jot down some thoughts for us this week.
 
1. Describe your experience at Fulton County and some background on the program for some of our readers who haven't ever been west of Louisville.
 
I look at Fulton County's program as a "work in progress."  Sprints & jumps have been our bread and butter, with state champs in 100m, 200m, 400m, 300H, Long Jump & Triple Jump including 3 State Records, and our throwers are regulars at the state meet, but we're trying to expand on that to put toge...
