KYtrackXC.com Athletes of the Week: November 2nd

 

With the conclusion of the Kentucky Middle/Elementary School seasons, KYtrackXC.com will not have the usual Varsity awards this week and instead will focus on the younger runners.  Below are the Middle/Elementary School athletes of the week.

 

Chase Geary - Muhlenberg County

Geary, an eighth grader running for Muhlenberg County won the KTCCCA Middle School Boys State Championship Saturday.  He cruised to victory on the sloppy Masterson Station course in 13:46 winning the 4000 Meter Race by twenty-five seconds.  He has run a best time of 17:04 for the 5000 Meter Run this season.

Amelia Reynolds - College View

Reynolds, an eighth grader at College View Middle School won the KTCCCA Middle School Girls State Championship Saturday.  She ran a 15:15 for the 4000 Meter course, winning for the second year in a row.  In her spare time she also competes for the Daviess County Varsity Girls team, in which she is currently ranked #15 in Class AAA in Kentucky.

Lauren Ossege - Highlands High School

Ossege, a sixth grader running for Highlands has ran it all this year.  She has competed in elementary, middle, and high school races.  She ends her season as the KTCCCA Elementary School State Champion winning the 3000 Meter race by over sixteen seconds in 12:08.  She has run 20:48 for 5000 Meters this year.

Jordan Rose - Grant County

Rose, a sixth grader at Grant County is another runner of many distances.  He has run all levels in Kentucky from the 3K to the 5K.  He won the Elementary School Boys State Championship with a 11:37 for the 3000 Meter course.  He has a best time of 19:59 for 5000 Meters this year.
