What was your most memorable meet and why?

My most memorable meet was the Lexington Catholic Invitational my senior year because it was the hottest meet of the year and I placed 2nd on my team with a really good time. I surprised myself here because I knew it was so hot, I was getting over a sickness, and it was my 3rd meet that same week. I showed myself how strong I can be and what I am capable of and it gave me the motivation to continue the rest of the season with unwavering confidence.

Where did you face your biggest competition?

My biggest competition is myself. I am constantly pushing myself to be better than the meet before or the year before and I always make expectations for myself.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most and why?

The accomplishment of me running in our state meet on varsity every year of high school has stood out me me the most because it shows my endless hard work and commitment. Some years I struggled with injuries and still made it back to run in the state meet so it shows my determination to prove myself and be the best I can be despite setbacks.

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running   career in high school?

I would change how nervous I would get before competitions because after them I would always realize there would be no need to be so nervous.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

Injuries, when they happened they would always set me back from getting my goals.

What will you miss the most?

I will miss the atmosphere of my team, including my coaches and teammates, and the bonds that I have created with everyone. Also I will miss how involved my parent were with our team and the fun things they planned for us.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

Have fun because you tend to do better when you are enjoying it and don't linger on the negative setbacks that occur because your best is all you can do.

What are your post-high school or college plans?

I plan to continue my academic and athletic cross country career at Thomas More College as a Pre-med Biology major.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

I would like to thank my parents because they have done so many thing to help support me and my team. They are always finding ways to make me better, perform my best, motivate me, and help me to enjoy my sport. Also they are always the loudest people on the course when I run and have taught me the values to be a good teammate and team captain.
