Class A Boys Team Preview

 Class A Boys

If Tilghman are the legends of Class AA, then Bardstown would be the same for Class A.  Winners of four of the last five titles, they are the early favorites going into the race on Saturday morning.  They are counting on points from senior distance runner Adam Kahleifeh in all three of the distance events.  He has the #2 best time in the 800m this season.  The 4x800m is going to have step up and finish top five.  The key event for them is the Pole Vault where they could possibly score eighteen points with a 1-2 finish.  Senior Damian Edelen is seeded #1 in the 400m Dash.  They have to get points to continue the streak of fix of the last six titles.

Coming out of the west is Fort Campbell and Ballard Memorial.  Fort Campbell is a very solid team that will score everywhere.  They lack that great name like Derrick Stallworth from a couple years ago, but they are still solid.  In the four relays, Fort Campbell is seeded #2 in three.  They are seeded fourth in the other.  Darian Crank is seeded #3 in both sets of the hurdles.  Lonnie Powell will score in the 200m, High Jump, and Long Jump probably.  Ballard Memorial is more a star-studded team with two-time defending Long Jump champion Nathan Bledsoe.  Bledsoe is entered in the 100m, 200m, and Long Jump.  Ballard will do as well as a team as he does.  They also count on Cody Wiggins in the Long Jump and Triple Jump to score.

From the north we have Villa Madonna led by Corey Stoll who is attempting to win the triple (1600m, 800m, 3200m) and St. Henry led by senior Michael Whitehead and High Jumper Bessler.  Bessler is seeded #1 in the High Jump, whereas Whitehead is a threat to score big in the 1600m and 3200m.
