Class A Season Preview

Class A Boys

Senior Adam Huff returns as LCA's #1 runner.

Even though Lexington Christian loses 2015 Class A state champion Aaron Wier, they return enough talent to be the team to beat this year. The #3 Class A returner Adam Huff looks to be the crucial low stick for the Eagles as they attempt to win back-to-back team titles for the first title in school history. Huff is coming off a spring track season marred by mono, but he'll have plenty of help to get the job done from the tight, formidable pack led by Junior Adam Wier.

Sophomore Keeton Thornsberry leads a strong Holy Cross squad trying to challenge LCA for the team title.

Lexington Christian will face solid competition from Holy Cross and their rising sophomore phenom Keeton Thornsberry.  During his freshman campaign, Thornsberry finished runner-up in the state cross country meet and captured his first state title in the 3200. With the firepower of the top returner in Thornsberry, the Cougars could be a dangerous team if they can tighten up their 3-5 pack. Also keep an eye out for Green County, and never, ever sleep on the men from St. Henry District. Other top returners on the scene include Cumberland County's Levi Owens (Senior), Bishop Brossart's Cody Chism (Senior), and Villa Madonna's Zack Werner (Senior).
