Mason County will open it new indoor track facility this coming Saturday, January 19. The meet will include high school and open & masters events. Headlining the bill will be Casey Combest, holder of the high school indoor 60 meter dash national record. Now 27 years old, Combest is trying to come back after 6 years out of competition. He opened at SIU Dec 8 but pulled up with an injury, finishing out of the top ten there. Admission is $5. Events start at 10 AM. Prelim in the open 55 meter dash will be at 11:00. Final at 11:25.
