Former North Hardin Star Cameron Ponder Loses his Life in the Line of Duty Today

Former North Hardin Sprinter Cameron Ponder was killed in the line of duty today. The 2002 graduate was a Kentucky State Trooper serving in far western Kentucky area. He pulled over a vehicle at 4:30 this morning on Interstate 24 and was ultimately shot by the assailant.

Ponder was a workhorse for North Hardin when he graduated in 2002. His senior year at the Kentucky State Track Meet he finished 2nd in the 200m, 4th in the 100m, 5th in the 400m, and was a member of the 2nd place 4x100m Relay. His points help lead the Trojans to a Class AAA Team Runner-Up finish.
