Some of the top names at the meet include two current national leaders in Terrell Jackson of Memphis University School (TN) in the 800 meter run and Jaron Flournoy of Westland John Glenn (MI) in the 400 meter dash. Jackson ran his US #1 800 meter time of 1:50.63 last month at the University of Vanderbilt High School Invite, while last summer won an AAU Junior Olympic Games title in the event. He won last year's UK High School Invite in 1:53. Jackson's top competition in the race on Saturday includes Kendall Muhammad (1:53.30 PR) from Paul Dunbar (KY) and Dylan Groos (1:53.56) from University School of Nashville (TN).

Meanwhile, Flournoy not only has the nation's top time in the 400 at 47.35, but finds himself not far off the nation's top time in the 200 (US #2 21.36) and 300 (US #6 33.93). Flournoy was featured last weekend in the 200 at the SPIRE Showcase in Ohio, when rolled to a 21.38 victory. He will be running the 200 again this weekend along with the 400, which he will face off against current US #3 Will Allen (Paul Dunbar KY), who ran in the SPIRE meet last weekend as well with a 47.77 clocking.

The 200 will have just as a compelling matchup for Flournoy as he will face last June's New Balance Nationals outdoor 100 meter champ and last March's New Balance Nationals indoor 200 meter runner-up Darryl Haraway of DeMatha Catholic. Haraway has focused primarily on the 55 meter dash this season with a US #2 6.28 season best, so the University of Kentucky Invite with his 21.00 PR will be his first 200 meter race of the indoor season. Haraway is also in the 60 meter dash with Flournoy.

Could we see potentially US #1 boys times in the 60, 200, 400, and 800 in Lexington this weekend? It is very possible with the talent assembled.

The girls field is very formidable as well with more than a handful of girls coming in having already run US top 5 times including Mackenzie Dunmore (GA) in the 400 at US #2 55.19, Tonea Marshall (TX) in the 60 hurdles at US #3 8.50, Ersula Farrow (MI) in the 800 at US #5 2:11 as a just a start of a few girls names to watch in this meet.

MileSplit will have complete coverage of this year's University of Kentucky High School Invite with not only providing a first in the LIVE stream, but archived race videos, interviews, and a full photo gallery to go along with our on-site meet coverage! Don't miss out on any of it!
