Mercer County senior Chrys Jones triple jumps 50-02 to break the Overall State Record. Paducah Tilghman boys and Russell girls are in the lead after Day One of the Class AA State Track Meet.
The Paducah Tilghman boys have scored points with victories in the Pole Vault by Andrew Warmath and Mike Jones in the Shot Put. West Jessamine is in second with a victory in the 3200 relay.
The Russell girls are led so far by a Chiwe Okoro victory in the Discus. Lloyd Memorial is in second after Day One with a first and third place finish in the girls Pole Vault by Tawni Lockard and Samantha Grant.
