Lexington to Host College Club Racing Great Lake Regional November 1st

On November 1,   the National Intercollegiate Running Club Association(NIRCA) will be hosting the Great Lakes Regional at Masterson Station Park.   Many former high school runners are still running while attending college, but not competing for their college/university.   This is an opportunity for those runners to compete as a club representing their college/university.

Currently the University of Kentucky is the only member club from Kentucky and that website is outdated.   With the number of former high school runners who attend Kentucky colleges now,  it would be possible to have clubs at every college in Kentucky.  Basic introductory fee is $20 entry fee for the Great Lakes Regional November 1.

Plans are to host the NIRCA National Championships at Masterson Station next fall(2015).

Find below links to various NIRCA information.  Please pass on this information to your former runners who are currently attending college and are still out running the roads.  This is a great opportunity to continue friendships made in high school or post season in NXN Cross, Footlocker, CCCNYC, USATF or AAU.

The Great Lakes region consists of Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan, so if you have athletes in the other three states,  they would be eligible to compete November 1 as well.  Or pass on information about other regionals and meets in other states.
