What was your most memorable meet or race?
Our 2014 Regional track meet. After graduating so many seniors last year it was hard for both our boys and girls team to win regional titles, but we did for the second year in a row!

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
Competing in 4 very different events at the State track meet my senior year. 3 of which were individual events! I take pride in being able to do different things.

If you could do it all over again, is there anything you would change?
I would begin pole vaulting as a freshman. This event takes time To get use to before you can really see progress!

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
My sophomore and junior year I got beat out for my spot on my favorite relay, the 4x1, and that was hard for me. I was able to see it as a challenge though to not only improve, but it allowed me the opportunity to find other events I could really compete in! Senior year is made it back on.. Along with the other events I was able to pick up.

What will you miss the most?
I'm really going to miss the program we have going at Boyle County High School. We compete at a very high level, but our coaches always keep it interesting and fun! There's nothing quite like BC Track and Field.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
If I were to give any advice for upcoming athletes it would be that you have to want something more than you're afraid of it. You never really know what you can do until you give it your all... Don't be afraid to try something new.

What are your college/career plans?
I'm attending Coastal Carolina University and studying exercise and sports science.

Who would you like to thank?
My biggest thanks goes to our coaching staff: Brent Wagner, Krista Rinehart, and Seth Tamme,  for being such great motivators and teaching us lessons that not only go for track, but towards life.
