What was your most memorable meet or race?
*My senior XC State meet where I finished 9th. Standing on the podium had always been a goal of mine, so cashing in on all of the hard work when it counted the most made it that much sweeter.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
*Leading my cross country team to our 5th consecutive regional title. Trimble County has overcome a lot of obstacles the last few years, and our boys have worked extremely hard, despite the struggles.

If you could do it all over again, is there anything you would change?
*Looking back, there isn't much I regret about my high school running career. Overall, it was a great ride.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
*Going to such a small rural school, recruiting runners wasn't always easy. My junior and senior years of XC, we could barely find a fifth man for varsity, and ended up running a seventh grader for regionals and state.

What will you miss the most?
*The crazy woods adventure runs our XC team had. From cave explorations, to jumping over creek beds and chasing cows, we were more like explorers than runners.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
*Don't take any moment from granted, because time flies by. Work hard, but have fun doing it. Running is an amazing sport that can reap countless rewards.

What are your college/career plans?
*I will be running for Centre College, and plan on studying Chemical Physics with a possible dual-degree in engineering. I will also be playing clarinet, which is another interest of mine.

Who would you like to thank?
*There are so many people to whom I owe my thanks. To begin, my mother and father, because without their support,  I wouldn't be where I am. My father, along with all of my other coaches, have pushed me every day as a runner, and also to be a better person.  I also have to thank my awesome teammates for all of the lasting memories and friendships they have created.
