Track the sport with the longest season in Kentucky or at least that is what I have heard. Technically it is true no questions asked. Competitions can start January 1st and last all the way to the end of May. But that is only really a half truth, "indoor" is a big part of that and Kentucky lacks the facilities statewide to make it truly huge. We have made great strides with the addition of newer indoor facilities but there is still a lot of room to grow. But as many of us have found out in 2014 the weather has not cooperated causing major cancellations across the state of both school and track meets even as recently as last week (cold and rain.) Well Spring Break is past for a lot of schools across the state and it is now time to get down to business. There are four full weeks left of action in this track season before Regionals begin. The next two weeks of meets are below and they alone equal the number that were ran in the first month of outdoor. So here we are on April 7th with the real heart of track season about to begin.
KYtrackXC.com is planning out the schedule now and will attempt to put someone taking pictures or video at as many as these meets as possible. Still need some help in Northern Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky taking pictures for $$, if interested contact kytrackxc@gmail.com.
