Garrard County's Cole Grecco Commits to NKU

Garrard County's Cole Grecco has committed to run at Northern Kentucky University.  Grecco is coming off a 5K PR at Foot Locker South with a 16:33.  He was 10th overall in Class AA in early November at the Kentucky State Cross Country Championship.

Last spring he was 3rd overall in the 1600m Run at the Kentucky State Class AA Track Meet with a PR of 4:29.91.  He also went sub 10 in the 3200m running a 9:58.35 at Eastern Relays.

He joins fellow Kentuckians Keith Prive, John Michael Griffith, and Michael Caldwell in committing to NKU.

When asked why he chose NKU, he said:

"I chose NKU because it is affordable, it has the unique College of Informatics, and the team members seem to show continuous improvement.  I am looking forward to competing at the Division I level and am excited about the opportunity to work with Coach Kruse.  The meeting I had with him went very well and made me feel like NKU would be the best choice for me."
