1) What event did you win?

CS: I won the girls class 2A 100 meter dash & I'm from Knox Central High School.

2) What kind of strategy did you have going into your event?

CS: Going in, I knew I had to beat everyone out of the blocks, & hold my top speed as long as I could, & run through the finish line.

3) If this was your first state championship, what kind of emotions and thoughts did you have immediately after winning?  If this was another state championship for you joining others, how does this one compare to the prior one?

CS: This was my first state championship. I was thrilled after I won, & was so emotional that I cried. I had never experienced anything like it before.

4) Did you do anything different when it came to your training this season?

CS: For training, I had never trained for track before until this year. I simply went through the motions, but this year I trained harder than I ever had before, and focused mainly on the 100 meter dash.

5) Besides winning state, what was another highlight of your season?

CS: The highlight of my season was getting new PR's in all of my events
